Asuka's Commitment

At Asuka, we are dedicated to the health and safety of our customers and employees year-round.

  • We shall continue to wash our dishes and cooking implements in a chemical regulated commercial dish washer.

  • In addition to sanitizing our tables and menus per health code, at Asuka we have increased sanitizing commonly touched items throughout our rooms to a 30-minute schedule.

  • As always, we shall enforce safe hand washing regimens for the protection of our diners and employees.

  • We care about the health and well-being of our customers and employees.  To this end, we have implemented a fitness for duty check for each employee before their shift begins.  This includes a temperature check, general wellness observation and inquiring as to any exposures they may have encountered since last working.

Thank you for dining with us, we look forward to continuing to serve you at Asuka where sushi is “more better”.

*Important Update*

*Update*  Due to Governor Roy Cooper's latest Executive Order No 180 on November 23, 2020, amending the verbiage of Executive Order No 163, Asuka is now requiring all employees and patrons to wear face coverings at ALL times while on the premises unless actively eating / drinking, or if an exception applies.

Per Governor Roy Cooper’s Executive Order No 141, Asuka will be opened to limited dine-in experience for patrons effective 5:00 p.m. (EDT), May 22, 2020.

The stated lawful maximum capacity of Asuka is 120 persons, therefore the Governor mandated Emergency Maximum Capacity during Phase 2 shall be 50% of that amount (60 patrons).  Furthermore, in our effort to comply with Executive Order No. 141 so that we may continue service operations we shall only seat patrons at tables with more than six (6) feet spacing and not allow parties to exceed 10 persons, unless from the same household.  Also, to preserve the flow of food we will currently not be seating patrons at the sushi bar.  Lastly, we will require our team members to wear masks or faceguards while preparing RTE (ready-to-eat) food, serving, or when six (6) feet cannot be maintained between patron and team member.

In our effort to help combat the spread of the COVID-19 (novel Coronavirus), Asuka’s full take-out menu will be available.  We are pleased to temporarily offer Carryout or Pre-Paid Curbside Pick Up.  Please call us at 919-570-2828 to place your order.  Curbside orders must be placed in advance and paid at time of order.

We appreciate your patients and patronage as we again, adapt to current mandated requirements, recommendations, and conditions.  We hope to see you soon at Asuka where sushi is "more better".
